i soooo don't get this one. i'm just curious whether you have a clear sense of things as you draw them or if you sometimes follow your imagination into a fog bank of sorts. that is, do YOU always understand your drawings?
also, i forgot to reply to your comment on your blog. here's what i said:
lo, thanks back at you. everyone, check out lo's site (click on her icon). i usually think this kind of thing is silly, but there was some simple poignancy to these pics, and they were funny. and, even though this comment may be in the context of a ridiculous poem, i'm being serious.
(perhaps i should have said 'i USED to think this kind of thing...' cause right now i find them quite interesting)

andrew, in response to your question, sometimes i know exactly what i am going to draw and sometimes i follow my imagination... sometimes it's a little bit of both. and no, i don't always understand my drawings, but that is what i like most about them. i know that they come out of my head, and that makes me feel a little odd because then it seems as though i don't understand what goes on in my head. the truth is, i hardly ever know what's going through my head and thus i can pull copious interpretations from only one drawing. i get more than one way to interpret myself this way, and that makes drawing on paint very therapeutic. it's better than a journal.

lo -
that's interesting. i suppose i sometimes feel that way about writing. sooo...i wonder how accurate someone's perceptions of you might be based solely on your pics. on one hand they somehow reflect you, yet they may present your oddest thoughts rather than the everyday you.
